The ceremony will take place at 1.30 pm on Saturday, 26th July, 2026 at St Palladius Church, located within the grounds of Drumtochty Castle.

How far is the church from the castle, and will transport be available?

St Palladius Church is located within the grounds of Drumtochty Castle, approximately a ten-minute walk from the castle. For those who would prefer not to walk, shuttle transport will be available between the castle and the church.

How do I get to Drumtochty Castle?

Drumtochty Castle is in Aberdeenshire, 30 minutes south of Aberdeen, with Edinburgh and Glasgow just a two hour drive away.

By Road
Travelling from the North: From Aberdeen take the A90 ‘Stonehaven road’ south for 24 miles. Take a right at the signpost for ‘Auchenblae’, onto ‘The Waters’ road. Follow this road for 2 miles until you arrive at the village of Auchenblae, then take a left, signposted as the ‘Cemetery’. Follow this road round and take a sharp right at the junction. Then follow the road for 3 miles until you pass St Palladius church on your right which is located next to the main entrance to Drumtochty Castle.

Travelling from the South: Take the A90 ‘North’ from Perth or Dundee for 38 miles. Just north of Laurencekirk turn left sign posted ‘Auchenblae’, onto ‘The Waters’ road. Follow this road for 2 miles until you arrive at the village of Auchenblae, then take a left, signposted as the ‘Cemetery’. Follow this road round and take a sharp right at the junction. Then follow the road for 3 miles until you pass St Palladius church on your right which is located next to the main entrance to Drumtochty Castle.

By Rail
Aberdeen or Stonehaven are the nearest mainline train stations. Aberdeen train station is 30 miles away for the castle and Stonehaven is 20 miles away.
Local taxi services are available for transportation between station and castle.

By Air
Aberdeen International Airport is the closet airport to Drumtochty Castle. Just over 30 miles away, it is around 45 minute journey from airport to castle.
There is a taxi rank located at the front of the terminal, as well as several car hire rental firms are available to hire a vehicle from on site.

Will there be coach transport from Edinburgh?

Yes. An optional coach will depart Edinburgh on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday afternoon. Full timings and pick-up details will be shared closer to the weekend.

What is the dress code?

Friday: Island chic is very welcome. Think bright colours, flowy dresses with tropical prints, and for men linen or floral shirts paired with trousers.

Saturday: Formal daywear. Tartans, tweeds , hats, and fascinators are warmly encouraged.

Sunday: Relaxed and informal.

May I attend for only part of the weekend?

Guests are very welcome to join us for whichever part of the celebrations they are able to attend.

What should I do if I have dietary requirements?

If you have any dietary requirements, please include these when completing your RSVP and we will ensure they are catered for throughout the weekend.

With regret, the celebrations will be adults only.

Are pets permitted on site?

Unfortunately, pets will not be able to attend the celebrations or stay on site.

Can I take the return coach to Edinburgh if I did not travel on the coach to the castle?

The return coach is reserved for guests who travelled on the coach from Edinburgh on Friday. Extra seats may be available, so please contact Rachel directly if required.

Is parking available?

Guests are very welcome to bring their own cars. Parking will be available within the castle grounds for those staying on the estate or attending the celebrations.

Is there mobile phone signal at the castle?

Mobile phone signal is limited within the estate (a perfect opportunity to switch off for the weekend). Wi-Fi is available throughout the accommodation.
